This is me and Ms. Pat Maurice. I meet here last year with Loyce. She was the Carnival Queen of Wayne Berkley's Carnival Band of 1978 and 1979. A most beautiful and gracious lady.

Greetings to all.....I hope this little update finds you all well and good....I have finally returned from my London journey and am still dealing with the jet lag.....suffice to say, i am glad to be home but do miss my London pad......thanks again to Conrad for all of his help....and yes, my luggage arrived so I will surely post those items as soon as possible......as for the memories.....please take a look at the following pictures to get a sense of what I did, felt and loved about my trip.

.....just chilling....like a villian...the fox....and I mean REAL fox laying up in the cut....hehehehe.....seriously....outside the back window.....in plain view....really.....ain't kiddin' you ......the shocked....a f**kin* fox in the back yard....clear as day......chilling.....so I clutched my pearls.....and turned my head realizing that "Dorothy....you aint in Kansas anymo'".

oy!...it seems my trip is about to come to an end.....i am sitting in the british library marveling at the sheer magnitude of the building as well as the calmness inside....as i sit here with anika ( she writes while i type) my mind flashes to the past weeks events. Carnival, plays, museums, galleries, resturants, book stores, more galleries, more museums, more dining out to suffice me for some time. It has been a joy and pleasure visiting London. I have taken loads of pictures and have much to share....I will try to add a few photos daily once I return home so that my trip can live on.......thank you to all that have held me in your thoughts and prayers while I traveled. I trust this blog will find you all well and I look forward to the time I can share my feelings with you in person.

me on carnival morning

oy!......greetings to all.....well carnival monday has happened and i am done....just put a fork in me.....the band was beautiful, costumes grand and spirit lively.....my early arrival to the mas camp included my daily trek from the southeast to the northwest......1.1/2 commute via the overhead trains and underground tube...."mind the gap".......well....after getting familiar with the set up for the day.....dealing with last minute details and such....i began to look for clary.....i found her putting on the makeup for the mas, so i jumped right in and began to help......as i was dealing with all the revelers and such.....i noticed camera people about......the following pics are of me at work and play.....hope you all enjoy the moments i share....for i have enjoyed them as well.....

ok......this will be and is my first attempt at blogging.......it seems the rage now and the most effective way to communicate to those dear to me.....i will be traveling to London for a while researching and working on the costume build for the Notting Hill Carnival. As you may know, last year was my first trip to the UK, this trip will round out my research as well as providing me with opportunities to explore and research theatre practices abroad. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I travel. I will try to document my journey as often as possible with the hopes that the joy I experience will uplift and delight you. Peace to all.
