captain's log supplemental 2
well, after a few days of frustrating communication with the thai tech people, i am finally able to use my laptop computer with the established wifi connection set up for the festival. we have been in surin for about six days, four performances, two days of presentations, 12 meals....( all prepared and provided by the university, mind you they are feeding at least 400 people three times a day). speaking meals, our breakfasts usually consists of gruel of soupy thai sticky rice soup with whatever seems to be left over from the previous meal......fruit and sometimes bread, hard boiled eggs and noodle soup. lunch is rice with various thai flavored concoctions such as curry, stew, noodles and the like. dinner is a variation of the previous meals with a fried chicken leg thrown in for a twist....fish balls have popped up a few times this week and the various vegetarian dishes for the non meat eaters. all the food is wonderful and the hospitality great. i hope you enjoy the pics that follow.

Captain's Log: Supplemental
Well, I am off to another adventure in my learning career. I have been invited to attend the Surin International Folklore Festival in Surin, Thailand. I will be presenting my research of Anne Lowe: America's First Couturier. Fellow colleagues and I will present a dance piece accompanied by students from the CSUSB theatre, dance and music department. Professor Bryan, Professor Knop and myself will accompany 9 students. Follow us as be begin this journey of international dialogue, cultural exchange and professional development.

ok.....so it has been way too long since I last posted anything.....work and all has really left little time for me to feel "non" guilty of taking in this pleasure of blogging.....really, I feel a little strange carving out time to put up pic and things....but in the end....it is documentation of my life experiences and a way to share my world with my family and friends....so here goes....what I did last summers......

Greetings to all.....I hope this little update finds you all well and good....I have finally returned from my London journey and am still dealing with the jet lag.....suffice to say, i am glad to be home but do miss my London pad......thanks again to Conrad for all of his help....and yes, my luggage arrived so I will surely post those items as soon as possible......as for the memories.....please take a look at the following pictures to get a sense of what I did, felt and loved about my trip.

London Bridge and the Gurls......
ok....so i have to go all the way to london to see the exhibit of the supremes....full of costumes and artifacts from the Mary Wilson Collection......jaw dropping stuff.......Whew......i mean really....fabulous.....more later......cheers

The Fox of Hither Green
.....just chilling....like a villian...the fox....and I mean REAL fox laying up in the cut....hehehehe.....seriously....outside the back window.....in plain view....really.....ain't kiddin' you ......the shocked....a f**kin* fox in the back yard....clear as day......chilling.....so I clutched my pearls.....and turned my head realizing that "Dorothy....you aint in Kansas anymo'".
